DEPA Graduation

On February 26, 2010 in simple yet moving rites at the Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila the 2nd batch of PSA-Distance Education Program for Anesthesiologists were graduated.

They took the new hybrid web based distance e-learning course that began in February 25, 2008 and ended on January 4, 2010. The 7 anesthesiologists who successfully hurdled the program come from various parts of the country.

These were:

  1. Dr. Harold D. Banez of Ester Garcia General Hospital, Cauayan City, Isabela
  2. Dr. Nenita A.D. Castillo from Good Samaritan General Hospital, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija
  3. Dr. Winston Y. de Vera, Ago Foundation Hospital, Naga City
  4. Dr. Cynthia C. Quierrez, Quezon Medical Center, Lucena City, Quezon
  5. Dr. Charina D. Rebancos, Aquinas University Hospital, Aquende Drive, Legazpi City
  6. Dr. Emmanuel R. Reyes, Gabriela Silang General Hospital, Vigan, Ilocos Sur
  7. Dr. Audreylyn G. Salvenera from Quezon Medical Center, Lucena City, Quezon

Dr. Alfonso Doloroso, the 1st chairman of the PSA FAA that conceptualized the DEPA gave the inspirational talk. The affair was graced also by the presence of some of the founding DEPA faculty. Dr. Nenita A.D. Castilo in behalf of the graduates gave her reflections on the DEPA experience and this is included below. All the graduates will take the written examinations of the PBA this March 2010.
